The project (As-built Design Documentation) of a high-speed sea-going passenger double-deck
catamaran with dynamic foil-assisted lift* — Project
HSC200 (Project
Code "Primorsky") — for the transport support of the Primorsky
Territory and passenger operations between Vladivostok and Bolshoy
Kamen (Rus).
Construction Start: May 2024 at the Livadia Repair and Shipbuilding
Yard.
* A
catamaran with a hydrofoil system integrated within the vessel's
beam (or slightly wider), compared to a planing craft of the same
speed, consumes 40% less fuel and carries 8% more payload. Compared
to traditional Hydrofoil Vessels with fixed foils, this vessel can
operate in shallower waters, is less sensitive to overloading, has a
lower cost, offers flexibility in propulsion choice, and features a
relatively simple foil system design, eliminating the risk of
failing to "get on the foil."
